It's 2007! CDs and DVDs and iPods and Nintendo DS's and Wii and Xbox 360 are all the rage. The first iPhone is released. MySpace is at its peak, emo fashion is on the rise, and everything is influenced and ushered in by the music industry. Music shapes the way we think, feel, and believe. and it was so in 2007. Rihanna's Umbrella came out that year, as did Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne and Fall out Boy's THNKS FR TH MMRS. Bands like MCR, Linkin Park, Maroon 5 were religiously worshipped by their fans, and Taylor Swift was emerging in the country scene. When you think of 2007, think of the popular music of that time as a culmination of gritty Nickelback music and Hannah Montana-esque pop and country. And of course, you can't forget the emo! As for pop culture, Britney shaved her head, Lindsay Lohan was in and out of rehab, and there was the infamous Kardashian claim to fame- Kim K's leaked sex tape.
